1. Acceptance of terms
By using the Tripbuddy mobile app or website (the "Service") you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Tripbuddy is a social map of Laos. It shows places such as restaurants, cafes, bars and attractions, together with posts, photos, videos and reviews from other users, and lets you chat and make plans with friends. Place details and reviews come from the community and from businesses; we do not guarantee that they are accurate or current.
3. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date
- Keep your sign-in details secure
- Take responsibility for activity under your account
- Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use
4. Your content
You own the photos, videos, text and reviews you post. By posting you give Tripbuddy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within the Service, including on the map and in other users' feeds, for as long as it is on the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
5. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone
- Post spam, scams or fake reviews, or review a place you own without saying so
- Collect other users' information or use the Service for automated scraping
- Interfere with the Service or try to access it without authorisation
You can report content or accounts in the app. Repeated or serious breaches lead to suspension or removal of your account.
6. Businesses and third parties
Places listed on Tripbuddy are run by independent businesses. Tripbuddy does not own, operate or control them and is not responsible for their products, services or actions. Where the Service lets you book or pay for something, the business's own prices and cancellation policy apply and are shown before you confirm.
7. Safety
The Service is a guide, not an emergency service. In an emergency always contact the local police, medical or fire services directly. Meet people you have only met in the app in public places and use your own judgement.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, name and logo are owned by Tripbuddy and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Service except your own content.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripbuddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from content posted by users or from businesses listed on the Service. The Service is provided "as is".
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or as described on Delete your account. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms.
11. Changes
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version here and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
